Project Name: Incorporating Pain Alleviation Mechanism into CMC Arthritis Splint

Current status of project:
1) Controller Circuit
- essentially complete
- figure out necessity of potentiometer with LCD
- optimize resistor choice for greater thermal resolution
- choose either optocoupler or power transitor
- depends on current need of heating element
- redesign PCB board to save space/cost
- choose components/manufacturers
- find property spreadsheets and pricings
2) Thermal Heating Element
- design - in progress
- material choice - in progress
Work planned for next week:
- complete all CAD renderings
- design housing (sketch) first
- 1ST PRIORITY
- NEED TO DETERMINE THERMAL UNIT BEFORE PROCEEDING - ASAP
Anything needed from client or TA or instructor to continue work:
- submit psuedocode to Professor Klaesner for brief review to ensure completeness (submit by Wed)
